Grassroots Westmoreland remains steadfast in our endeavors to find ways in which to support and uplift our little corner of the world.

AND SPEAKING OF LITTLE CORNERS……

Where SHOULD justice meet generosity and community?

THE VERDICT IS IN....

THE COURTHOUSE OF COURSE!

Grassroots Westmoreland would like to introduce
a new WEEKLY addition to serve our Community,

The Grassroots Westmoreland

Need Help Now?

Join Grassroots Westmoreland EVERY Thursday, from 430PM-630 PM, for our Care-A-Van!

Grassroots Westmoreland will be on the Courthouse Corner for pop up clothing and food drives that exclusively benefit Westmoreland County!

Stop by to chat, or for a quick hand off!

We will be accepting;

 Non-perishable, unexpired dry goods,

 Hygiene products and toiletries

Clothing, in good condition, of any kind.

-----EACH MONTH OUR DRIVES WILL BENEFIT A WESTMORELAND COUNTY AGENCY, ALREADY DOING GOOD WORK!-----

We LOVE our Westmoreland agencies!

We, at Grassroots Westmoreland, firmly believe there is no need to reinvent the wheel.

But we WOULD like to add some reinforcements when we believe they could be used most!

In the words of Jean Vanier, Canadian social activist and philosopher,

"One of the marvelous things about community is that it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn't as individuals. "

Hosted by Grassroots Westmoreland, together with Ike’s Basement Bike Shop, and in partnership with WTF Can I Do?! Westmoreland and The Westmoreland County Food Bank, this special day brings neighbors together to support one another and share resources.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Community Food Drive – Bring non-perishable, unexpired dry goods to benefit the Westmoreland County Food Bank.

  • Give N’ Take Clothing Store – Take what you need, give what you don’t! -A grassroots way to keep clothing circulating in the community, and for neighbors to refresh their closets, for FREE!

Accepting gently used or new clothing, of all types, but specifically looking for warm coats and clothing for the coming chilly months!

  • Free Bike Services – Ike’s Bike Basement will be on site offering free bike tune-ups, safety checks, and light diagnostics (non-E-bikes, please).

This event is about neighbors helping neighbors, creating a space where everyone can both give and receive.

We would be honored to have you  join us—whether that’s by attending, spreading the word, or partnering with us in future community efforts!
