It’s a challenging time for many of us — and it can feel like local government is something that happens to us, not with us.
But every person in Westmoreland County is entitled to show up, to listen, and to be heard.
The Westmoreland County Commissioners’ Public Meetings are open to everyone.
It’s a space where neighbors can hear what’s happening in our county, ask questions, and remind decision-makers that this community belongs to all of us.

City Council Monthly Meeting (Greensburg)
City Council Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers located on the 2nd floor of City Hall.
Each month, City Council gathers to discuss the issues, decisions, and projects that shape daily life in our community. These meetings are open to the public, and every resident — no matter how uncertain or unheard you may sometimes feel — is entitled to be there, to listen, and to speak.
In times when it’s easy to feel disconnected from power, showing up is an act of care and courage.
Whether you’re there to learn, to advocate, or simply to witness, your presence helps keep local government accountable and connected to the people it serves.

City of Greensburg Planning Commission Meeting
Listen, speak, and collaborate with the Greensburg Planning Commission on the 4th Wednesday of every month from 5-630pm at City Hall.
The Greensburg Planning Commission meets to review zoning, subdivision, and land development plans within the City of Greensburg.
Meetings are open to the public and the public are encouraged to attend.
Residents are provided with opportunities to learn about local projects, voice feedback, and engage in community planning decisions.
