Donate
Your support helps keep essentials moving through Westmoreland County.
Grassroots Westmoreland accepts donations based on current requests,
available storage, volunteer capacity, and partner needs. Every contribution
helps us respond with dignity, care, and practical support.
Ways to Donate
Share clean, usable essentials that match current community requests.
Check the Current Needs page before donating so we can prioritize what is most helpful right now.
If you can help sort, move, organize, deliver, or coordinate donations, volunteer support makes this work possible.
More Ways to Give → Coming Soon!
We are working toward adding options for financial gifts and monthly support.
At this time, Grassroots Westmoreland is not yet accepting online financial donations through this website. We will update this page when financial giving options are ready and appropriate to share publicly.
For now, the best way to support the work is to check our Current Needs page, donate requested items when possible, or reach out about volunteer support.
Before You Donate Items
Please make sure donated items are clean, usable, and appropriate for community distribution.
Grassroots Westmoreland accepts items based on current requests, available storage, volunteer capacity, and partner needs.
Before donating large quantities, food donations, or items that require special handling, please contact us first so we can confirm current capacity, storage space, transportation, or partner connection options.
We do not accept furniture.
We may not be able to accept every item, but we will do our best to connect useful donations to the right place.
Where Donations Go
Donations help support Free Westmoreland, Care-A-Van outreach, direct community requests, and partner connections across Westmoreland County.
Some items are shared directly with residents and families. Some are used for pop-ups, outreach, sorting events, or emergency requests. Other donations may be connected to partner organizations when they are better equipped to distribute them.
Our goal is simple: move useful items where they can do the most good, with dignity and care.
Ready to donate or have a question?
Check the Current Needs page first, then reach out if you have
questions about items, timing, storage, large donations, or
special handling.
